Hi, I'm Katie...
I'm the baker, decorator and creative mind behind Cakes by Katie. Located in Thatcham, near Newbury and Reading, West Berkshire.
From a very young age, I've loved baking; what started as a school holiday activity, turned into creating cakes for family birthdays and slowly my passion grew into what Cakes by Katie is today.
Over the past few years, I've honed my skills, combining artistry with flavour to create cakes that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
Now I'm lucky enough to do what I love every day, working closely with customers to bring their dream bespoke cakes to life.
I make luxury cakes and cupcakes for all occasions, offering a wide range of flavours and catering for certain dietary requirements as well.
I was thrilled to be featured in Weddings & Honeymoons magazine as the top cake maker in Berkshire and I was very honoured to be a finalist in the 'Wedding Cake Designer' category of the 2025 UKWHA awards.
